First Vídalín offspring is getting attention

It´s always exciting when young horses show their potential at early age and by doing that making owners and fans around happy. One of those youngsters who proved to everybody close by what she was made of from day one is Hnota frá Stóra-Vatnsskarði a 2-year old mare out of Vídalín frá Hamrahóli and Víðja frá Stóra-Vatnsskarði. Hnota is very beautiful with elegant confirmation. She shows all gaits in great tempi and with lots of suspension and it will be quite interesting to keep an eye on her in the near future. A video of her can be seen here. Her father Vídalín frá Hamrahóli was in 8th place in the class of 4 year old stallions at the LM in Hella in 2008. He was in the spotlight again last year (2009) at the FIZO in Hella where he scored the highest in his 5 year old class for rideability 8.66, confirmation 8.02 for a total of 8.40. Vídja the mother of Hnota is a non-evaluated mare out of a son of Ófeigur frá Flugumýri, Brunnur frá Kjarnholtum. Vídalín is again at Stóra-Vatnsskarði this summer and it is likely that he will leave Iceland this fall for the USA where one of his owners Katrin Sheehan lives and runs the well known Creekside Farm.
